UNI EN ISO 14001 AND PNRR: AN INCREASINGLY DEMANDED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, AS WELL AS CERTIFIED AUDITORS.

Thanks to the certifications, the GDP could increase by 30 billion euros annually.

The green boom is also partly due to the inclusion in the PNRR of the “do not significant harm” principle (do not cause significant damage to the environment) which every organization is required to respect in order to obtain the funding.

From the Accredia 2021 Annual Report it emerged that in the last year the accredited certifications of environmental and energy management systems have both increased by as much as 15%, while those for IT security by 13%.

Furthermore, the data confirm the +16% growth in the accreditation sector referred to the certification of persons.

According to Accredia-Prometeia research, the accredited energy certifications allow for a reduction of 6 million tons of CO2 per year, with a reduction in external costs of 170 million euros. Furthermore, the Censis-Accredia research predicts that, if in 2023 the number of certified companies reached 150,000 from today’s 80,000, there would be an increase in GDP of 30 billion euros per year.

The UNI EN ISO 14001 certification certifies that the certified subject, whether it is a company or an organization of any size, has an environmental management system that complies with the standard, i.e. respectful of the environment and that it has implemented procedures that do not damage it.

The boost to the areas of environmental and energy management has given more impetus to the activity of Auditors and Lead Auditors qualified for the 14001 standard. And, in line with the Accredia report, the professionals who certify their skills are figures that are increasingly in demand, since they can objectively demonstrate to the reference market that they play an active role in the green value chain.

Ricec, the value of skills.
